Pakistan’s top-order batsman Mohammad Rizwan made a great feat in international T20 cricket. He touched the milestone of 3000 runs fastest in the history of short format cricket. Rizwan had to play 79 innings to join the 3-thousand club.

Earlier, another Pakistani batsman Babar Azam and India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli had recorded the fastest 3000 runs in international T20. These two batsmen played 81 innings and jointly held the record for the fastest to reach the 3000 run milestone.

Rizwan left the field after playing an unbeaten innings of 45 runs against New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium yesterday. In this he surpassed Babar and Kohli to set a new record.

Rizwan entered the 3-thousand club as Pakistan’s second batsman in international cricket. Before him only Babar scored 3000 runs in green jersey only.

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets yesterday based on Rizwan’s innings of 45 runs off 34 balls. Before that, New Zealand was bowled out for just 90 runs by the great bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Amir.
