Home Minister is going to Bandarban today to see the overall situation

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal is going to Bandarban today to see the overall situation after the armed attack and bank robbery. He is scheduled to leave for Bandarban on Saturday morning. The Ministry of Home Affairs announced this information in a notification yesterday.

 

The letter informed that the Home Minister will go to Bandarban by helicopter from Dhaka. He will appear at Ruma upazila of the district at 10:30 am. Later from there will visit various areas including Ruma.

After visiting Bandarban and observing the situation there, the Home Minister will participate in an exchange meeting. He will leave for Dhaka around 2.30 pm later.

 

Incidentally, there has been a turbulent situation in Bandarban for the past few days. Last Tuesday (April 2) night, armed miscreants attacked Sonali Bank branch in Ruma Upazila Sadar. At that time, they kidnapped the manager Nezam Uddin. The next day, on Wednesday afternoon, there was a robbery incident at Krishi Bank and Sonali Bank of Thanchi Upazila in the district. Last Thursday night (April 4) there was a police shootout with Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) terrorists in Thanchi.
