National Polls Schedule This Week, Voting Hour Likely Extended

The Election Commission (EC) is set to announce the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election sometime this week.
This time, the voting period will be extended by one hour. Polling will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Election Commissioner Abul Fazl Md. Sanaullah shared the information with reporters on Sunday after a meeting at the EC office.
He said the election schedule could be released on any day within the week.
Responding to a question, he noted that the Chief Election Commissioner had earlier indicated the second week of December for the announcement. Since December 8–15 falls within that period, the schedule will be declared on any of those days.
