After 11:30 pm, various areas of Chittagong started to be covered in darkness. Rain also started in some areas. It started raining in torrents with thunder. In the intense heat of the last few days, which brings relief to the common people.

In the coastal areas of Mirsarai and Sitakunda, the darkness of the night falls around 12:30. This condition lasts for more than half an hour. Later, when the rain started, the situation improved a little, but it was not completely dark.

Aziz Azhar, a resident of Mirsrai area, said, “We have seen Kalbaishakhi.” But we have never seen the darkness of the night at Bhardupur. The people of the whole area were surprised by this incident. Highway vehicles are forced to drive with their headlights on. Businesses are lit like night.

Meteorologist Harunor Rashit of Patenga Meteorological Office said, “Due to the low pressure in the west, there is a possibility of rain in the whole country including Chittagong today. A few more heatwaves are likely this month. Apart from this, there is a danger of severe monsoon in this month.

The Meteorological Department says that there is a risk of a storm with a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour over seven regions of the country including Dhaka. This information has been given in the weather forecast for the internal river ports of the country till 1 o’clock on Sunday.

According to the forecast, there may be temporary gusty or windy rain or thundershower over Khulna, Jessore, Kushtia, Satkhira, Madaripur, Faridpur and Dhaka regions from the west or north-west at a speed of 60-80 km per hour.

In the forecast, the river ports in these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2.

From the beginning of this month, mild to moderate temperatures started flowing in different parts of the country. Among them, Chuadanga recorded the highest temperature in the country on Saturday. The heat wave has made life unbearable in different parts of the country. Along with this was load shedding. Load shedding is happening almost everywhere in the country, especially outside Dhaka. People’s life becomes miserable due to intense heat and load shedding.
