Shot and critically injured, Osman Hadi is being flown to Singapore by air ambulance

bullet-injured political activist, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, is being transported to Singapore for advanced medical treatment via air ambulance. The aircraft departed from Dhaka at approximately 1:55 pm on Monday.
Prior to the flight, an ICU-equipped ambulance carried Osman Hadi from Evercare Hospital in the capital to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The ambulance entered the airport premises through Gate No. 8 shortly before 1:30 pm. He had left Evercare Hospital around 1:15 pm under strict medical supervision.
Osman Hadi, the convener of the Inqilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Doctors advised immediate overseas treatment due to the severity of his condition.
The shooting occurred last Friday in the Purana Paltan area of Dhaka, a day after the Election Commission announced the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The incident took place when attackers opened fire from a moving motorcycle.
According to Inqilab Mancha Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber, Osman Hadi is accompanied on the flight by his two elder brothers, Omar Faruk and Abu Bakar Siddique.
The incident has raised serious concerns regarding political security and the overall election environment.
