Eid holiday ends today Sunday. Tomorrow, Monday, government offices, courts, banks, financial institutions including insurance will open. After Eid-ul-Fitr, people started coming to the capital Dhaka to join the workplace. However, many of those who have not gone to the village due to Eid are leaving the city today. This image can be seen when visiting the capital’s Gulistan, Sayedabad and Mohakhali bus terminals on Sunday.

Meanwhile, since early morning, passengers have been meeting on road as well as railway at Kamalapur station. Kamalapur railway station was crowded with passengers since morning.

Besides, many people are now going home to the village to avoid the suffering of the journey during Eid. As there was no traffic jam, the buses returned to the capital on time. However, as usual, passengers are complaining about the extra fare. They said that the buses collected extra money by talking about Eid bakshish.

Abdullah Al Miraj, a private organization worker, returned to Dhaka from Jhenaidah last night after finishing the Eid holiday. He told media, the holiday is still one day left. However, I returned earlier because I wanted to celebrate Pahela Boishakh in Dhaka. Besides, the pressure to return to Dhaka will increase from tomorrow. Then there will be traffic jam and suffering. So I thought about everything and left a day ago.

Private employee Shariful Islam returned to Dhaka from Sylhet. He said, “I got in the car at 12 o’clock on Saturday night. I reached Fakirapool in the capital early in the morning. After a little rest, I will go to the office.

Even after the smooth Eid journey, the passengers complained of extra fare. For example, Azizul Hakim came from Jhenaidah to Dhaka by bus yesterday. At other times, the maximum fare is Tk 600 as distance. But 900 to 1000 Tk are being collected from the passengers.
