The National Committee for Hajj Management and the Executive Committee for Hajj Management have been formed. Recently, the Cabinet Department has issued a notification by forming these two committees.

The Prime Minister is the Chairman of the 21-member National Committee on Hajj Management. The 25-member executive committee is chaired by the Minister for Religious Affairs.

Earlier, two committees were formed on April 20, 2022. The new government was formed on January 11. The two committees formed by the previous government have been canceled and newly formed.

The members of the National Committee are: Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Minister of Religious Affairs, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Religious Affairs, Cabinet Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary, Public Administration Secretary, Public Security Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Secretary, Civil Aviation. Tourism Secretary, Religion Secretary, Health Care Secretary, Security Services Secretary, Finance Secretary, Housing and Public Works Secretary, Director General of National Security Intelligence (NSI), Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation, Hajj Director, Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) the president He will be a member secretary in the main committee of the Hajj section of the Ministry of Religion.

The National Committee on Hajj Management will provide necessary guidelines for proper Hajj management.

The committee can call a meeting whenever necessary. The President shall preside over all meetings of the Committee, but any member nominated by him may preside over the meeting if necessary. The committee may co-opt members if necessary. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will provide secretarial support to this committee, it has been informed in the notification.

The executive committee regarding Hajj management includes the heads of various institutions along with the secretaries of various ministries.

The notification said that the executive committee will be able to formulate the necessary action plan for the smooth management of Hajj, approve the Hajj package, ensure the implementation of the decision of the National Committee and do any other work prescribed by the rules.

It is also said that the executive committee can call a meeting whenever necessary. The President shall preside over all meetings of the Committee, but any member nominated by him may preside over the meeting if necessary. The committee may co-opt members if necessary. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will provide the secretariat to this committee.
