The Tangail Meteorological Office recorded a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius at 3 pm on Friday. This is the highest temperature in the district, confirmed Jamal Hossain, senior observer of the office.
He said that the temperature was recorded at 40 degree Celsius at 3 pm today. The meteorologist said that the heat will continue for two more days.
Meanwhile, normal life is disrupted by heat and intense sun. Although people go out in the morning, the crowd is less as the day progresses. People coming out are taking shelter under tea shops and trees because of the heat. The working people have suffered the most. As the power supply is less than the demand, the suffering has increased several fold.
On the other hand, heat stress has increased in hospitals. Children, old people and laborers are suffering from various diseases in summer. In such a situation, doctors have advised to consume more pure water, food saline and liquid food.
