Pakistan ended the five-match T20I series against New Zealand with a 2-2 draw. Babar Azam’s team will travel to Ireland to play a three-match T20I series next month. The first match will be in Dublin on May 10.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has suggested not keeping Haris Rauf in the squad for this series against the Irish. Left-arm pacer Shaheen thinks Harris should not play this series.

Pacer Haris suffered a shoulder injury in the last match of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The speedster has not yet recovered from the injury and returned to the field. Could not play in the recently concluded New Zealand series. However, this right-handed pacer has been practicing bowling since 3 days ago.

Shaheen feels it would be too hasty to include Harris in the team against Ireland. Because Harris needs more time to get himself fit for the game. He should bring out his skills after practicing well.

After the last T20 match against New Zealand, Shaheen said, ‘Haris Rauf has started bowling since last 3 days. I want him not to play the Ireland series. Because, it will be too early for him. But we have 4 matches against England. He will be able to play those matches before going to the T20 World Cup.

Shaheen also said, ‘He is Pakistan’s main bowler in the middle overs. He has 90 T20 wickets. He is the main bowler of white ball cricket in Pakistan. Who can take wickets in the middle overs. He says there is speed.

Shaheen played a big role in Pakistan’s victory yesterday. He took 4 wickets with 30 runs. He brought Pakistan back into the match with two consecutive wickets in the 15th over of the innings. In the end Pakistan won the match by 9 runs.
