Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Harshit Patel was severely punished for breaking the IPL rules. With a small gesture, he found the full amount of the match fee. After that, he was banned for one match by the tournament authorities. Due to which this pacer will not be able to play against Mumbai Indians on May 3.

The IPL authorities have not released any statement clarifying why Harshit was fined and punished. However, it has been informed that the decision given by the match referee is the final decision.

It is known that he was fined for breaking the law against Delhi Capitals. Harshit had a lively celebration after dismissing Delhi batsman Abhishek Porel in that match. The Kolkata pacer made a gesture towards the batter when he was leaving the field. For which he has been fined and banned.

Harshit has been fined as per Section 2.5 of IPL Restrictions. Where stated, the decision given by the match referee will be considered as final.
