Paris Saint Germain (PSG) lost 3-2 to Barcelona in the first leg of the quarter finals. Then the French club won 4-1 in the second leg. PSG reached the semi-finals of the Champions League by defeating Barca 6-4 in two legs.

This time, PSG lost in the first leg of the semi. Luis Enrique’s side lost 1-0 to German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

However, like the quarter-finals, PSG will turn around in the second leg in the semis. Coach Enrique expressed optimism about that. PSG will play this match at their home ground, Parc des Princes.

“It’s football,” Enrique told Spanish broadcaster Canal Plus. Most of the time it’s great, but other times it’s nothing. We wanted to be in a different situation. But I think, when you look at the match, it was an even fight.’

PSG have been in great form recently. But in the first half, Dortmund kept their defense so strong that PSG forward Kylian Mbappe couldn’t get inside with the ball.

PSG had a great shot on target just before the break. But Marcel Savitzer’s shot was blocked by Dortmund’s goalkeeper Donnerruma. PSG created two great chances in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mbappe’s deflected shot bounced off the goal post and Ashraf Hakimi took a second shot. PSG also failed in this attempt.

Remembering PSG’s failure to score, Enrique said, ‘Nobody said the Champions League semi-final match was going to be easy. The boys are under a bit of pressure in the dressing room. Since we have an opportunity. But we hit the post both times. You have to say, it’s an exceptional stadium. But I am sure we will be stronger in Paris, we have nothing to lose.

PSG lost without scoring for the first time under Enrique. Under this coach, Mbappera lost only 5 matches in the whole season.

On Wednesday night, however, Dortmund got the goal much earlier, in the 39th minute. Niko Skoloterbic made a great pass to Niklas Fulkruger. Fulkrug took great control of the ball. Then the German forward showed the ball to the PSG net with a great shot. Dortmund won 1-0.
