Narine’s rampage, Kolkata beat Lucknow by a huge margin

Sunil Narine ran riot in IPL once again. Lucknow Super Giant bowlers gave Kolkata Knight Riders a huge capital of 235 runs. In reply, Lucknow was bowled out for just 137 runs. Kolkata has climbed to the top of the table with a huge victory of 98 runs.

Kolkata lost the toss to bat at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Two openers Narine and Phil Salt scored 61 runs off 26 balls in the opening pair in aggressive batting. Salt got out after scoring 32 runs off 14 balls.

Narine made a partnership of 79 runs with Enkrish Raghuvanshi for the second wicket. After scoring a 27-ball fifty, Narine stopped at 81 (39 balls with 6 boundaries and 7 sixes). Raghuvanshi scored 32 runs off 26 balls.

Ramandeep Singh scored 25 runs off 6 balls at the end. Batted at a strike rate of 416.66. Kolkata got capital of 235 runs for 6 wickets.

In response, Lucknow defeated Arshin Kulkarni by 20 runs. Then captain Lokesh Rahul and Markan Stoinis scored 50 runs. Rahul’s innings stopped at 25 runs off 21 balls.

Stoinis was moving forward with some aggressive batting. But Andre Russell stopped him. He was caught by Harshit Patel after scoring 36 off 21 balls. No one else could even touch the 20-run mark down the stretch. As a result, Lucknow was bowled out for just 137 runs after batting 16.1 overs.
