Big loss to India in 14 over match for girls

The five-match series has already been lost. Now it seems that the girls of Bangladesh are standing in the face of whitewash. Negara Sultana Jyoti’s team lost to India by Duckworth Lewis method by a huge margin of 56 runs in the fourth T20I in Sylhet.

Due to rain, the 20-over match was actually reduced to 14 overs. Indian girls made a big collection of 122 runs for 6 wickets in this scheduled over.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 39 from 26 balls, Richa Ghosh scored 24 from 15 balls, Dayalan Hemalta scored 22 from 14 balls and Smriti Mandhana scored 22 runs from 18 balls.

Marufa Akhter and Rabeya Khan of Bangladesh took two wickets each.

In response, the host team could not score more than 68 runs for 7 wickets in 14 overs. Bangladesh was never in the match chasing runs. Opener Dilara Akhtar scored 21 runs but played 25 balls. Rubia Haider remained unbeaten with 17 balls from 13, Sharifa Khatun remained unbeaten with 11 balls from 11 balls. None of the rest could even touch the tenth house.

Dipti Sharma and Asha Sobhana took two wickets each for India.
