According to the Vienna Convention, the High Court commented that no foreigner, including US Ambassador Peter Haas, can speak about the internal justice system of Bangladesh.

 

The court said diplomats should be cautious when talking about pending matters.

ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan brought the matter to the attention of the High Court referring to Peter Haas’s statement as contempt of court.

Then lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan said, the court cannot draw contempt proceedings against any ambassador or diplomat and cannot summon them. But you can give observation.
