The Meteorological Department has issued a two-day heatwave warning in the country.

The warning was given on Wednesday afternoon.

Meteorologist Dr. The heatwave warning issued by Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick said that the heatwave over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions may continue for the next 48 hours from 6 pm on Wednesday.

Uncomfortable conditions may continue due to excess water vapor during this time.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 9 am on Wednesday said that the heat wave will continue on Thursday and the day after that on Friday.

The Meteorological Department said that a mild heat wave (36 degrees to 37.9 degrees Celsius) will pass over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Sylhet divisions including Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Kishoreganj, Netrokona, Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Comilla, Cox’s Bazar, Bhola and Patuakhali districts. (called gentle heat currents) are flowing. It may continue today as well as expand. Day and night temperatures may increase slightly today.

 

Along with the heat wave, there may also be rain in different parts of the country. The sky may be cloudy. The Meteorological Department said that there may be rain or thundershower at two places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions today.

The highest temperature in the country yesterday was 38.4 degrees Celsius at Syedpur in Nilphamari. Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Rajshahi, Ishwardi in Pabna, Rangpur, Dimla in Nilphamari, Rajarhat in Kurigram, Rangamati, Jessore, Chuadanga, Kumarkhali in Kushtia was between 37 degrees and 37.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Dhaka yesterday was 35.3 degrees Celsius.
