5 units of fire service to control the fire at Dholaikhal Mutual Trust Bank

The Fire Service and Civil Defense brought the fire at the Dholaikhal branch of the capital under control. The fire was brought under control at 11:45 on Saturday. Some documents of the bank were burnt in the fire but the vault is safe.

Earlier on Saturday (May 18) around 10:40 am, a fire broke out in the branch of Mutual Trust Bank on the second floor of a four-storey building in Dholaikhal. Five units of the fire service attended to douse the fire after receiving the information.

Fire Service Duty Officer Lima Khanom said that five units from Sutrapur and Siddikbazar worked to control the fire after receiving information about the fire in the Mutual Trust Bank on the second floor of the four-storied building in Dholaikhal.

Initially, the fire service official could not tell the cause of the fire and the amount of damage.

When asked, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Wari police station Jane Alam Munshi told the media that although there was a fire in the bank, there was no fire in the vault. The manager of the bank along with the police entered and confirmed this. However, some documents were burnt in the fire incident. However, the bank authorities have not yet ascertained the extent of the damage.
