One Hajti died under treatment in Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail in Gazipur. He died around 2.30 pm on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Amina (40), daughter of Rumel Hossain of Matukpur village of Domar police station in Nilphamari. His Jail No. 394/24.

According to prison sources, Amina, who is incarcerated in the women’s prison, suddenly developed chest pain. Later he was immediately sent from the jail to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead around 2.30 pm after the examination.

Rizia Begum of Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail district told media that Amina was sent to the hospital when she developed chest pain. After going there, the doctor declared him dead. His family has been informed. He will be handed over to his family at the end of his imprisonment.
