According to Iranian media reports, the president of the country, Ibrahim Raisi, was killed in a helicopter crash.

This was said in Iranian media reports on Monday. However, the fact that Raisi was killed has not been officially confirmed by the Iranian government.

Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, met with an accident while performing his duties for the people of the country. He was martyred.

An Iranian official told Reuters news agency that the crashed helicopter carrying Raisi was completely burnt.

The Iranian official said this after finding the wreckage of the crashed helicopter.

The Iranian official said, “President Raisi’s helicopter was completely burnt in the accident…Unfortunately, all the passengers are expected to be killed.”

The helicopter carrying Raisi crashed near Jolfa area in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province on Sunday. The country’s foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and some senior officials were in the same helicopter.
