Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that the murderers of Member of Parliament (MP) Anwarul Azim Anar of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency have almost been identified and only announcement is left.

He said these things while talking to journalists in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the secretariat on Thursday afternoon.

The Home Minister said, ‘If the intelligence agencies of the two countries agree, an announcement will be made. The body has not been recovered yet. As long as the body can be recovered, nothing can be said officially to the journalists.

He said, ’till now nothing new has come to us. We are working with our police, intelligence agencies and India’s police and intelligence agencies from both countries to get some more information out.”

“We are sure he was killed. We have heard this from the mouths of those who killed. However, the body has not yet been recovered. We are trying to recover the body’ – added the Home Minister.

He said, “I will tell you after the investigation is done.” We are not able to provide any new updates at the moment. We have not received any news.

He also said, ‘I can say that we have identified almost. I have almost identified who killed them. All we have left is the announcement. I will make the announcement if the intelligence agencies of the two countries agree.

The minister said, “We have not recovered the body yet. We heard something, we heard what you heard. I can’t tell you anything officially until the body is recovered. The intelligence agencies of the two countries are working on this matter.

He said, ‘Anwarul Azim, who is our three-time member of parliament from Jhenaidah-4 constituency. That border area is full of terrorists. He is the Member of Parliament of that area. We cannot say anything without being sure about the cause of the murder. We confirm first, then we will tell you the details.

He also said, “A member of Parliament has been killed. We are looking at this matter very seriously. Everyone, including the Prime Minister, is looking at the matter seriously. Hopefully, in a very short time we will be able to tell you something.
