Cyclone Rimal canceled all flights to Cox’s Bazar

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has canceled all flights of the day at Cox’s Bazar Airport due to Cyclone Rimal. Private airlines US-Bangla, NovoAir, Air Astra have announced the cancellation of all their flights to Cox’s Bazar.

Besides, it is reported that two flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and one of Novoair have been canceled on Dhaka to Kolkata route.

According to the sources of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, NovoAir, Air Astra, two flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, seven of US Bangla Airlines, three of NovoAir and three of Air Astra have been canceled on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route on Sunday (May 26) due to Cyclone Rimal.

Besides, two flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, seven flights of US Bengal and two flights of Air Astra have been canceled in Chittagong. Apart from this, one flight each of Biman’s Jessore and Barisal has been cancelled.

Meanwhile, flights have been suspended at Shah Amanat International Airport due to Cyclone Rimal. Airport authorities have decided to stop flights for 8 hours to reduce the damage caused by the cyclone.
