Israel used US-supplied bombs to attack refugee camps in Rafah, Gaza. This has emerged in the analysis of the American media CNN. At least 45 people including 23 children, women and elderly were killed in the attack last Sunday night. More than 200 people were injured. The incident of this attack in the declared safe area caused a storm of condemnation around the world.

CNN analyzes multiple videos of attacks on refugee tents. Apart from this, explosives experts reviewed the remains of the bomb at the scene. It can be seen that the Israeli forces used GBU-39 bombs supplied by the United States in the attack.

Videos obtained by CNN show a large part of the tented shelter in Rafah burning. Many men, women and children are trying hard to protect themselves from the night attack. Rescuers are taking out many bodies including children from the rubble.

Several media including Al-Jazeera reported that many people were burnt alive in the incident. The children’s bodies were dismembered by the bomb. The body of a child with its head severed is also seen.

Explosive weapons expert Chris Cobb-Smith told CNN last Tuesday, local time, that the American company Boeing developed the GBU-39 bomb. These bombs are used to hit strategically important targets with precision. The surrounding damage is relatively less. However, this former artillery officer of the British Army said that the use of any bomb, even of this size, in densely populated areas always carries great risks.

Trevor Ball, a senior member of the US Army’s explosive ordnance disposal team, identified debris from the bomb used in Rafah as a GBU-39. He said, the warhead part of this bomb is different from other bombs and its guidance equipment and wings are quite exceptional.

The war would continue for another seven months

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s National Security Adviser Jashi Hanezbi commented that the seven-month-long war in Gaza will continue for at least another seven months. He said that he thinks that this war will continue throughout the year 2024.

Jashi also told Israeli state broadcaster KAN that the Israeli military controls 75 percent of the Philadelphia corridor. It is a buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt.

Meanwhile, there have been protests in the UK and Mexico to stop the war in Gaza. Protesters clashed with police in front of the Israeli embassy in Mexico City on Tuesday local time. The protest was organized to protest the attack on Rafah.

Apart from this, a clash occurred yesterday when the police tried to remove the protesters in London. Three police officers were injured. At that time, the police arrested 40 protesters.

According to Al-Jazeera’s report, 75 more people were killed in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours. 284 people were injured. The Ministry of Health of Gaza reported this yesterday. Since October 7, 36,171 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces in Gaza. 81 thousand 420 people were injured.
