Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that the war will continue until the military and administrative structures of Hamas are eliminated.
He said Israel’s conditions for ending the war have not changed; Destroying Hamas’ military and administrative structures, freeing all hostages and ensuring that Gaza never again poses a threat to Israel.
US President Joe Biden proposed a resolution on Friday to end the ongoing war in the besieged Gaza Strip. In this proposal, Biden said, first there will be a ceasefire for six weeks, then the Israeli forces will withdraw from the populated areas of Gaza, arrangements will be made to reach Gaza with huge relief, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners will be released by Israel, Hamas will release Israeli hostages – including male soldiers.
Then the reconstruction of Gaza will begin. Finally, there will be a permanent cease-fire between the two sides. Biden called it Israel’s offer.
However, the US President’s proposal was rejected by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He also said that Israel will stick to its terms until a permanent ceasefire is reached. It is unlikely that Israel will agree to a permanent ceasefire before these conditions are met.
Meanwhile, in an immediate reaction after Biden proposed a ceasefire, Hamas said it was “positive”.
In addition, Israel’s opposition parties also supported it. The family members of the hostages held by Hamas are also demanding the implementation of this condition.
