Heavy rains and flood risk in June

According to the Meteorological Department, due to heavy rainfall in the current month of June, short-term flooding may occur in some parts of the northern, northeastern, southern and southeastern regions of the country. Also the country as a whole may receive normal rainfall.

Apart from this, there may be mild to moderate thunderstorms in the country for four to six days this month, according to the Meteorological Office.

On Sunday (June 2), the expert committee formed to make long-term forecasts of the Meteorological Department gave this forecast.
