Bangladesh Railway has started selling train tickets in advance to facilitate the journey of the people who are homebound around the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. Those who wish to travel on June 14 should buy tickets on Tuesday. As per the decision of the Railways, the passengers have to collect these tickets online.

Advance ticket sales for June 14 will begin at 8am on Tuesday (June 4).

As per the decision of the Railways, the sale of tickets for all inter-city trains running in the western region will start at 8 am to facilitate the purchase of tickets for the general public. And the sale of Eastern train tickets will start from 2 pm.

Apart from this, tickets for June 15 will be available on June 5 and tickets for June 16 will be available on June 6. A passenger can buy maximum one ticket for advance and return Eid journey and can buy maximum 4 seat tickets In this case, there will be provision to mention the names of fellow passengers in case of purchasing maximum 4 tickets of that passenger.

This Eid Yatra ticket cannot be refunded. In order to prevent black market of tickets, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number every time the ticket is purchased. Advance tickets will be sold on June 17, 18 and 19 depending on Eid moon sighting.

However, for the convenience of passengers, 25 percent of the total allotted general class seats will be sold from the station counter after the sale of all the seats of the inter-city trains on both the Eid journeys.
