Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the North Bengal branch of the National Citizens Party (NCP), stated that military intervention in politics is not expected. He emphasized that the army will fulfill its responsibilities and obligations towards the country, rather than interfere in the country’s internal politics.

He made these remarks while responding to journalists’ questions at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

Alam also clarified that there is no internal disagreement within the NCP regarding a meeting with the army chief. He urged against spreading stories of bringing back the ‘Refined Awami League’ or any other similar faction of the Awami League.

Describing rumors as a disease, the young leader said that the government has been urged to establish an anti-rumor cell. He also advised the public to remain alert. Later in the day, Alam was scheduled to hold roadside meetings in five upazilas of Panchagarh district.
