A mowal named Musharraf Gazi (55) died after being attacked by a crocodile in the black waters of Sundarbans. The incident took place in Ghazalmari Canal on Saturday afternoon.
At this time, 3 more fishermen survived the crocodile attack. They are Sekandar Mallik (25), Zakaria Sheikh (45) and Gaupad Mandal (44).
The house of all, including the dead Maual, is in Purba Dhangmari village of Dakop Upazila in Khulna.

While returning on Saturday afternoon, he was attacked by a crocodile. Around 1 a.m. Musharraf Gazi was dragged by a crocodile into Ghazalmari Canal in Karamjal.
He also said that during the incident, the remaining 3 Mouals escaped by swimming in the river and survived. After 3 hours, the mutilated body of the deceased Maual was recovered from Bharani area of Karamjal. Dakop police handed over his body to the family after the initial post-mortem.
