The king of Dinajpur is running various sacrifice markets in the country including Dinajpur. Raja lives in Abdur Razzak’s farm in Madhyadurgapur village of Hamidpur UP in Upazila Ghensa Parvatipur. Razzak is a businessman and farmer by profession. He is rearing 10 cows including Raja in his home on natural food in the native method. About 4 and a half years ago, ‘Raja’ was born from a Friesian cow on his farm. This Holstan Friesian bull has been reared by the King. Hence the name ‘King of Dinajpur.’ Every day many eager people flock to Razzak’s house to see the huge bull.

On the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, Qurbani is being sold in the market in various districts including Dinajpur. Cattle traders are coming from capital Dhaka and Chittagong. The body length of this bull is 10 feet and the height is about 6 feet. 6 to 8 people are required to control the bull weighing 35 maund i.e. 1400 kg. Abdur Razzak feels that it is very difficult to bring and take Qurbani to market because it is huge and fast. So trying to sell the king from home.

Razzak said, after birth, he was brought up by eating natural food in the native way. Notable among the foods are straw, grass, chickpeas, pulses, husks, corn flour, chopar, small rice, kheil, rice flour and chitagur. More than 1 thousand rupees are spent on the king’s food list every day. 3 fans are provided in his residence. If there is no electricity, the king has to fan with multiple hand fans. The king has to bathe 3/4 times every day. At present the king has 6 teeth. This time, on the occasion of Qurbani, when it was decided to sell the king, buyers from different places of the country including Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Bogra, Rangpur came and bargained for the king. He is still waiting for not telling the expected price.

Razzak claims that his bull is the biggest and heaviest in Dinajpur district. He has a calm nature but sometimes gets angry. Then it becomes impossible to handle him. About 12 lakh taka has been spent on rearing so far.
