Comilla Police has arrested Tiktok Prince Mamun (25), who is involved in the rape case of a woman named Laila Akhter Farhad (48). He was arrested by Daudkandi Model Police Station in Comilla around 9:30 PM on Monday.

Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mozammel Haque. He said that there is a rape case against Mamun in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Cantonment Police Station. A requisition was sent from that police station to arrest him in that case. After receiving information that Mamun was returning to Dhaka from Chittagong, he was arrested after searching his car at Daudkandi Toll Plaza. He was handed over to the Cantonment police station around 12:30 pm.

Earlier on Sunday, Laila filed a case against Prince Mamun at the Cantonment Police Station of the capital on the allegation of rape. It is mentioned in the complaint that I met the defendant Abdullah Al Mamun aka Prince Mamun three years ago on the social media Facebook. At one stage of acquaintance, Mamun established a love relationship by promising her marriage. Mamun said that he will marry her. He was allowed to stay at home, taking his word for granted.

It is alleged in the case, “On 7 January 2022, Mamun came and lived in my house along with his mother. From that day he started staying in the same room with me in my house. He had sexual intercourse several times with the temptation of marriage. When Mamun was staying at my house, his parents used to come and stay there occasionally. When I told Mamun about marriage several times, he kept wasting time on various excuses. On March 14 this year Mamun raped again. Later, when I told him about the marriage, he got angry. He abused me in various obscene languages.
