22-Carat Gold Now at Tk 1.59 Lakh!

After four consecutive hikes followed by a single drop, gold prices in Bangladesh have risen again. According to the latest adjustment, the price of top-quality 22-carat gold has increased by Tk 2,403 per bhori, now standing at Tk 159,027. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the updated prices in a press release on Thursday night, April 10.
Earlier in the day, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was Tk 156,624, a rate that had just taken effect on April 9. Within just two days, prices have been revised once more.
Under the new pricing, 21-carat gold now costs Tk 151,795 per bhori—up by Tk 2,298. For 18-carat gold, the price has risen by Tk 1,971 to Tk 130,112 per bhori. Traditional method (Sanatan) gold is now priced at Tk 107,344 per bhori, marking a Tk 1,680 increase.
Despite the gold price hike, silver rates remain unchanged in the local market.
