The United States has warned its citizens against traveling to Lebanon. Basically they have been urged to refrain from traveling to Lebanon. Because Israel’s tension with Hezbollah on the Lebanese border has reached its peak.
We remind citizens to exercise the utmost caution when traveling to Lebanon, the US Embassy in Lebanon said in a statement.
In particular, U.S. citizens are prohibited from traveling near southern Lebanon, the Syrian border and refugee camps.
Earlier, Germany and the Netherlands urged their citizens to leave Lebanon
Israel has recently declared an all-out war against Lebanon’s Iran-backed military organization Hezbollah. In the meantime, the country’s Defense Forces (IDF) authorized and authorized the attack on Lebanon. But Israel was warned against this by its two allies, the United States and Germany. Turkey also warned.
The US, Germany and Türkiye have all expressed concern over Israel’s plans. Berlin and Washington have said they are worried about the consequences of a further escalation of the war. Meanwhile, Türkiye, supporting Lebanon, called on regional powers to similarly stand by Lebanon.
On the other hand, Martin Griffiths, the UN’s most senior official on human rights affairs, said that if the scope and intensity of the war increases, its consequences will be dire. I see it as a flash point.
