It has been raining non-stop since Saturday morning in various parts of the country including the capital. However, despite the rain, the heat did not decrease much. Meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick of Meteorological Department said that the reason for this hot weather is the rain.

The meteorologist told the media this morning, ‘The rain that falls during monsoon, we call it warm rain or warm rain. These rain clouds are relatively warm and become hotter as they descend to the surface. That’s why the temperature doesn’t drop much.

The Met Office has predicted that such rains may continue for two more days, including today, due to the active monsoon.

Meteorologist Abul Kalam also said that the temperature of the country will fluctuate between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius during these three days of rain. He said that the average temperature will be between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius, but due to the presence of excess water vapor in the air, it will be felt between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Office, Feni has recorded the highest rainfall of 101 mm across the country from 6 pm on Friday to 9 am this morning. The heaviest rainfall there has been in the last three hours. Tamarind is in second place. It has rained 51 mm.

Due to heavy rain, the Meteorological Office has warned of the risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari.

Monsoon entered Bangladesh on May 30. After that it started raining in different parts of the country. However, after the first week of this month, the heat wave started in different parts of the country. Especially in Rajshahi and Barisal division, continuous heat wave is going on. In this many places have received isolated rains. However, there was no continuous rain across the country.
