Gusts of 60 km/h expected in eight regions, Signal No. 1 at Nadiports

The Meteorological Department has said that eight regions of the country are likely to receive rain with gusts of maximum speed of 60 km per hour. This information was given in the weather forecast for the country’s inland river ports till 1 pm on Thursday (July 4).

Meteorologist Md. According to a notification signed by Shahinul Islam, along with rain or thundershowers in Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions, gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow over the regions from south or southeast direction. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, the monsoon axis extends across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of it extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and is moderate to strong over North Bay of Bengal. In this condition, light to moderate rain with gusty winds will occur in most parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions during the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Thursday or There may be rain with thunder. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.
