The number of camps of Bangladesh Army has been increased to provide overall security of public property and important government installations. In view of the attack on the army patrol team by protesters in Gopinathpur of Sadar Upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday, additional troops have been deployed in the area and the situation is normal.

Among the notable activities, the army rescued four Japanese nationals by negotiating the protest of job aspirants in EPZ located in Narayanganj on Sunday. Apart from this, army is currently deployed in 537 police stations to support the Bangladesh Police and the normal operations of police stations have started. A significant number of policemen have already joined the workplace, which is ongoing. Apart from this, common people are handing over looted weapons and ammunition to the army in various incidents. Besides, the number of robberies in various areas has decreased compared to earlier and the arrested persons have been sent directly to jail through the operation of mobile courts.

Army operations are underway to recover missing persons in abduction cases at several places. Apart from this, the people seriously injured in the agitation are being treated at CMH, Dhaka. Day-night joint patrols are conducted as part of the Army’s ongoing operations to control the law and order situation, particularly the night joint patrols have been strengthened.

Recently, various social media have been spreading news with a combination of truth and lies to create confusion about the activities of army personnel. In this regard, the public is requested to stop all kinds of misinformation. Bangladesh Army is and will always be with the people for the benefit of the people and for any need of the state. Along with this, everyone is being requested to cooperate with the Bangladesh Army in carrying out its duties properly.
