Possession of arms without license is an offence, submit to police station: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has urged anyone who has unlicensed firearms or bullets to immediately submit them to the nearest police station. The DMP says that possession of unlicensed weapons and bullets is a punishable offence.

KM Roy Niyati, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADC) of DMP Media and Public Relations Department, said this on Sunday (August 11) night. Possession of unlicensed arms and ammunition is a punishable offence.

Meanwhile, on Sunday (August 11) afternoon, Superintendent of Police, Media and Public Relations Department of Police Headquarters, Inamul Haque Sagar said that the activities of 599 police stations out of 639 police stations across the country have started. Besides, 97 out of 110 metropolitan police stations and 502 police stations out of 529 district police stations have started operations.
