The army has recovered eight lakh rupees looted from Ganabhaban. This money was recovered from Mohammadpur three road junction area of the capital on Monday (August 12) night.
Witnesses said a man informed the army that money was found in a bag near his house. After going there, the army came to know that someone had brought the money from Ganobhaban. Later he left the money in fear and ran away.
After that, the army patrol team accepted the money in the presence of some local dignitaries.
Captain Sadir of the army who is in charge of the patrol team in Mohammadpur area said, “We went to the spot after receiving the information and recovered eight lakh taka.”
