16 officers of the rank of Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred. They have been attached to different police units.

This information has been confirmed in a notification sent by the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday. This transfer was done by the order signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Md. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh.

The arrested officers are: Zainal Abedin of Detective Gulshan Division as Superintendent of Police of Chittagong Range DIG Office, Shahid Al Masood of Traffic-Tezgaon Division as Superintendent of Police of Barisal Range DIG Office, Moshiur Rahman of Detective Lalbagh Division as Superintendent of Police of Chittagong Range DIG Office, Intelligence-Ramana Division. Md. Humayun Kabir as Police Superintendent of Sylhet Range DIG Office, Diplomatic Division Rabiul Islam as Khulna Range DIG Office, Intelligence-Mirpur Division Manas Kumar Poddar as Barisal Range DIG Office, Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence-Motijheel Division (ordered to be transferred as Khulna RRF) Md. Rajib Alam Masud. Sylhet Range DIG Office, Gulshan Division Deputy Commissioner Rifat Rahman Shamim has been attached to Chittagong Range DIG Office, Ramna Division Mohammad Ashraful Islam to Rangpur Range DIG Office, Motijheel Division Hayatul Islam Khan to Rajshahi Range DIG Office.

Besides, Mohammad Iqbal Hossain of Wari Division was sent to Khulna Range DIG office, Md. Mahbub Uz Zaman of Wari Division to Mymensingh Range DIG office, HM Azimul Haque of Tejgaon Division to Rajshahi Range DIG office, Mirpur Division Md. Jasim Uddin Mollah has been attached to Rangpur Range DIG office and Kazi Ashraful Azim to Chittagong Khulna Range DIG office.
