Slow internet in Pakistan, Bangladeshi cricketers frustrated

There has been political unrest in Bangladesh for the past few days. So the Pakistan Cricket Board proposed that the Bangladesh cricket team can enter their country earlier if they want.

Bangladesh also accepted that proposal. Shanto-Taskin arrived in Pakistan four days ahead of schedule to play the two-Test series. Currently they are staying in Lahore. Bangladesh is preparing well to go to Pakistan in advance. But the discomfort arose for another reason. Internet service in Pakistan has been disrupted for several days. Bangladeshi cricketers have expressed their disappointment.

Cricketers of the visiting team are not able to communicate with their families in the country due to slow internet speed. That’s why they have complained to the team management. Although the Pakistan Cricket Board has said, they have not received an official complaint about the slow internet from the Bangladesh team management. Pakistan is in turmoil over the demand for the release of former prime minister and the main opposition party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. It is believed that internet services have been restricted in Pakistan to keep the agitators under control. However, there is no clear explanation in the Pakistani media as to what exactly is causing the internet service disruption.
