Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, resumed academic activities on Wednesday, fifteen days after a tragic fighter jet crash struck one of its buildings.

Students from grades IX to XII returned to classrooms, with regular classes starting at 8:30 am, confirmed Shah Bulbul, the institution’s public relations officer.

Earlier this week on Sunday, students had briefly gathered on campus for the first time since the incident. No academic sessions were held that day. Instead, a prayer and memorial service was conducted in remembrance of those who lost their lives, and for the recovery of the injured.

The crash, which occurred on July 21, involved a Bangladesh Air Force training jet that crashed into the Diabari campus building, leaving at least 34 people dead, including several children. Many others are still hospitalized with critical burn injuries.

To support the emotional recovery of the school community, a dedicated counselling center has been set up on campus. Students, teachers, and parents affected by the traumatic event are receiving psychological support to help them regain focus and resume normal life.
