The central leadership of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatro Dol (JCD) has strongly condemned and protested the baseless and malicious propaganda linking their organization to the brutal murder at Jahangirnagar University (JU). They claim that this false narrative is being spread deliberately to tarnish the image of the Chhatro Dol.

The JCD clarified that there is currently no active Chhatro Dol committee at Jahangirnagar University. Although some individuals have recently participated in political activities following the fall of the fascist regime, they cannot be considered members of the Chhatro Dol. The organization further emphasized that none of its current leaders or workers were present at the scene, nor do they have any involvement in the incident.

In a press release issued Thursday night by JCD’s Office Secretary, Md. Jahangir Alam, the organization firmly stated their position. JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir have called for the immediate arrest of all individuals responsible for the heinous crime. They also urged media outlets to exercise caution and thoroughly verify facts before spreading any misinformation about the Chhatro Dol.

The Chhatro Dol leaders stressed the importance of responsible journalism, requesting media personnel to refrain from disseminating unfounded rumors. They expressed concerns that such false allegations are part of a broader strategy to politically marginalize the Chhatro Dol , an act they view as a grave injustice to the truth.
