The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all gatherings and rallies in the Kakrail area and surrounding neighborhoods of the capital. This information was disclosed in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Md. Mainul Hasan on Friday.

The Jatiya Party had announced a rally at Kakrail scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, demanding the withdrawal of alleged false cases filed against party leaders, including the chairman and secretary general, as well as calling for control over rising prices. Meanwhile, anti-fascist students and citizens have also declared a mass resistance program in front of the Jatiya Party office on the same day. The DMP made this decision to avoid any potential untoward situations.
