Mild to moderate heat wave is blowing over 39 districts of the country. The scope of the heat wave may increase further, said the Meteorological Department. At the same time, there may be light rain in two parts of the country, the meteorologist said.

On Monday (April 1), there was no rain anywhere in the country except Sylhet region. Meanwhile, 8 mm of rain has fallen in Sylhet. Due to the lack of rain, the amount of water vapor in the air is increasing and the discomfort is increasing. The temperature also reached 39 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, the highest temperature in the country was 39 degrees Celsius in Iswardi and Mongla. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 37.7 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday (April 2) from 9 a.m. in the next 24-hour weather forecast. Bajlur Rashid said that in two places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, there may be rain or thunder with temporary gusty winds, and there may be scattered hailstones at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. During this time, the day temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country and the night temperature may drop slightly.

Mild to moderate heat wave is moving over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions including Nilphamari and Dinajpur districts and may continue and spread. He also said that discomfort can increase due to excess water vapor.

There may be some rain in Sylhet region for the next few days. Therefore, the heat may increase in different parts of the country, meteorologists said.
