Considering the demand of passengers on Eid, Bangladesh Railways has decided to withdraw the weekly holiday of all intercity trains to return home comfortably. Recently, this decision was taken in the inter-ministerial meeting regarding the preparation of railways for Eid.

According to the decision, it has been decided to withdraw the weekend of all intercity trains from Wednesday (April 3) till the eve of Eid. After Eid there will be a weekend as usual.

Besides, a total of 86 coaches including 50 MG coaches from Pahartali Workshop and 36 BG coaches from Syedpur Workshop have been planned to be included in the passenger service to meet the additional passenger demand on the occasion of Eid.

Meanwhile, the Eid journey of the train has started from today. Those who bought advance tickets on March 24 are traveling today. Advance ticket sales for Eid return journey have started again today. Those who collect tickets today will be able to travel on April 13.
