Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain has described the recent remarks by India’s Foreign Secretary as “completely unwarranted.” He made this statement on Wednesday afternoon while responding to questions from reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
When asked about the comments made by India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Touhid Hossain said, “I see this statement as something that is not their concern; it is entirely an internal matter of Bangladesh. Such comments are completely unwarranted.”
Earlier, on Monday, during an exchange session with Bangladeshi diplomatic reporters in Delhi, India’s Foreign Secretary had expressed that India wants free, fair, inclusive, and participatory elections in Bangladesh at the earliest possible time. He added that India would work with whichever government comes to power based on the choice of the Bangladeshi people.
