The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned cricketer and former Magura-1 MP Shakib Al Hasan for questioning in a stock market-related case. He has been asked to appear on 26 November at the ACC headquarters.
The ACC said Md. Abul Khayer, also known as Hiru, allegedly manipulated the stock market to lure investors, causing financial losses, and laundered the proceeds. Several individuals, including Shakib, are named in the case.
A total of 15 people, including Shakib, have been summoned on 25 and 26 November as part of the investigation. The ACC is also probing allegations of unexplained wealth against Shakib, and he will be questioned on those matters.
Separately, following a change in government, a murder case was filed against Shakib at Adabor Police Station, and a court later issued arrest warrants in a check dishonor case involving him and three others.
