Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that no individual in Bangladesh faces any kind of security threat or concern. He made the remark while responding to a question about the security issues raised regarding the possible return of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

The adviser emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring the safety of every citizen.

He spoke to the press at the Secretariat on Tuesday after a meeting of the Core Committee on law and order under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In response to further questions, the Home Affairs Adviser reiterated that there is no security risk for anyone in the country and the government is fully prepared to guarantee public safety.
