Pakistan’s Parliament Speaker Arrives in Dhaka to Attend Khaleda Zia’s Funeral

Pakistan’s Parliament Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has arrived in Dhaka to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka confirmed his arrival today, Wednesday, at 12:20 PM via its verified Facebook page. At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was welcomed by M. Farhad Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Intergovernmental and Consular Affairs) of Bangladesh.
Khaleda Zia’s funeral will be held across the inner and outer grounds of the National Parliament and along the entire Manik Mia Avenue, scheduled for 2 PM today. Following the funeral, she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, former President Ziaur Rahman.
Khaleda Zia passed away yesterday, Tuesday, at 6 AM at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka at the age of 79.
