Virtual Meeting Held Between Tareq Rahman and US Trade Delegation

A virtual meeting was held between BNP Chairman Tareq Rahman and a trade delegation from the United States. The meeting took place today, Friday, at 9:00 AM Bangladesh time. The party’s press secretary, Saleh Shibli, confirmed the discussion.

According to Saleh Shibli, the high-level US delegation was led by the United States Trade Representative, Jamison Greiner. The discussions primarily focused on bilateral trade relations between Bangladesh and the US, mutual tariff rates, and various aspects of potential future economic cooperation.

The virtual meeting also included US officials Brendan Lynch, Assistant Trade Representative for South and Central Asia, and Emily Ashby, Director for South and Central Asia. Representing BNP, Tareq Rahman’s foreign affairs adviser and the party’s Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir participated in the talks.
