For the first time, the national flag was displayed on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s car

After assuming office as Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman’s car displayed the national flag for the first time today.
The Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed this development. Today, Thursday, March 26, marks the country’s Independence and National Day. While traveling to and from the National Memorial in Savar this morning to lay a wreath, the Prime Minister’s car was seen flying the national flag.
Additionally, during the 2026 Independence and National Day parade, the Prime Minister was also present in the vehicle carrying the national flag.
This morning, by laying a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar, both the President and the Prime Minister paid tribute to the nation’s greatest sons, the martyrs.
In the national elections held on February 12, Tarique Rahman’s party, the BNP, secured an absolute majority. He was sworn in as Prime Minister on February 17.
