Mirza Fakhrul Denounces Chief Adviser’s Ambiguous Election Comments

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated that the comments made by the Chief Adviser regarding the election from December to June were vague and unclear, claiming that no roadmap was announced. He emphasized that BNP has repeatedly called for the declaration of an election roadmap, warning that without it, the country’s crisis will not be resolved. Fakhrul made these remarks after paying homage to BNP founder and former president, the late Ziaur Rahman, at his mausoleum on the morning of March 26, which marked the Independence and National Day. He further stated that BNP is not seeking power through elections but is fighting for the people’s right to vote, as an elected government is the only solution to the country’s crisis.
