The National Consensus Commission is holding its second round of talks with the BNP to gather opinions on reform proposals submitted by five commissions. On Sunday (April 20), a BNP delegation is scheduled to join the discussion at 11 a.m. in the LD Hall of the National Parliament building.
Previously, on Thursday (April 17), a five-member BNP delegation led by Standing Committee member Salah Uddin Ahmed participated in the first round of discussions on the proposals.
Earlier on March 23, BNP formally submitted its reform proposals.
Following the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, the interim administration established 11 commissions in two phases to spearhead state reforms. With recommendations from these commissions, the National Consensus Commission began its work on February 15 under the leadership of Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, aiming to reach a national consensus on future reforms.
